OUR APPROACH
More than a score on a test.
A good psychological assessment does more than produce numbers. It brings together carefully selected testing, clinical expertise, and the individual circumstances of each person to build a meaningful picture of their strengths and difficulties.
At MindMeasure, assessment is designed to answer the questions that brought you to us - and to translate those answers into practical recommendations that can make a difference at school, at work, and in everyday life.
NO TWO PEOPLE PRESENT IN QUITE THE SAME WAY. GOOD ASSESSMENT ISN'T ABOUT RUNNING EVERYONE THROUGH THE SAME SET OF TESTS. IT'S ABOUT ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS, CHOOSING THE RIGHT TOOLS, AND MAKING SENSE OF THE RESULTS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PERSON.(02/02)
THE OUTCOME
Good assessment should lead somewhere.
An assessment isn’t complete when the testing is finished. Its value lies in making sense of the findings and using them to decide what happens next.
A meaningful Explanation: Understand the pattern behind the difficulties, not simply whether a score falls above or below a cut-off.
Diagnostic Clarity: Where appropriate, determine whether the findings support a diagnosis - and just as importantly, when they do not.
A Practical Way Forward: Receive recommendations that can be used in everyday life, at school or work, and by the professionals involved in your care.
CAREFUL ASSESSMENT. THOUGHTFUL INTERPRETATION. PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS.OUR PRINCIPLES
The principles behind
every assessment.
Good assessment requires more than technical expertise. These principles guide how we approach each person, interpret the evidence and communicate what we find.
-
No two referrals are identical. Assessment is tailored to the questions being asked, the person being assessed, and the information needed to answer those questions.
-
Our work is grounded in the "gold standard" of psychological research and evidence-based practice.
-
We use well-established assessment tools alongside clinical interview, history, and other relevant information. Results are interpreted carefully, rather than relying on individual scores or test cut-offs in isolation.
-
A report should do more than describe test results. Our aim is to provide conclusions that are understandable, well supported, and useful - with recommendations that can genuinely inform what happens next.
